  • This week has been a mess of me loosing my mind to my resume.  I can't get my columns to match or all my info in one palce.  But whatever, things will resolve because Rudy is helping me on Tuesday. Finally, I will start to apply to some dream jobs.

I just came back from a church overnight for young adults.  It was so cool to see the kids I worshipped with in high school.  I miss that enviornment. Just coming togther with a big group of people, who are there with open minds and hearts.  Understanding that you don't have to reveal everything about yourself, just be present to the oppourtunity to what could happen.

We took a personality test and  was able to look at my and others behavior with new glasses.  I think understanding people is the best way to work with them.  I know I often have to step back and alow things to happen instead of always planning.  However, I know tht I am usually the person to make sure they get done.  I have to know when to keep to th schedule and when to let it go.  I think college has taught me a lot about that (especially being friends with Dave and Ben).

Maybe I'll be able to post some pictues later.

  • BRITTANY IS BACK! Or atlease she is trying to be. I figure with all these peeps getting into xanga to update everyone on what is going on in their post-college, adult-y lives, I might as well too.

Right now, I am looking for jobs. I haven't even applied for anything yet. But I am looking and will very shortly be sending out my applications.

What am I looking for, you ask? Anything. I'm looking in the theatre field mostly (mainly stage mangement and costume), but I am willing to extend to managerial, archival, public relations inside the field. Outside the field: art galleries, film makers, improv clubs, etc... I am also looking for apprenticships because... why not? If they are going to pay for me to be in school, I might as well.

Where am I looking? I am looking for jobs all over the US, on the computer. That was a double meaning question.

On the general summer agenda: I am cleaning my room out like woah. I can't move with all my crap, so my goal is to package all my unwanted stuff up by the end of June so I can take it to my Grandma's yard sale. And hopefully make some moolah. I am planting a few plants this summer. Just for funzies. I am moving a table into my room as a craft station. For my relatively new sewing machine, my super new serger, and all my craft stuff. I am mostly excited about that. That means I am moving my futon out! If anyone wants a futon, I'm selling mine!

So, that is about it. It feels good to be back.-BK

  • A few very cool things on the horizon:

Today we have our presentation to get our theme house.  I think our power point presentation is really cool and I hope we come off looking fun but hardworking.  Iput in the picture of me with the false nose/glasses/mustach picking the flase nose.  I think that'll wow em.

Next week I am going to Chicago for spring break.  Does anyone know of anything cool to do, besides the free zoo!! Heck yea, I said it! FREE ZOO! We are going for about three days.  And I am totally jazzed, its my first big trip without my parents. I hope we don't screw this up.

The weekend after that, we are going to the Humana Festival in KY! That is always a great time to be had.  I love that city.  Its so fun and the theatre spaces are really boss. The whole festival takes on this fresh vibe.

So hopefully I will have seen about 5 shows in two weeks, not including A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. I was kinda sad, Joe, Ben and Amanda and I went to the nature center for a meeting for the Underground Railroad reenactment and they all got recognized from the show and I didn't.  I hated that veil thing.

  • Basically I'm just sorry to Tina who I am sure is the only person who still tries to read my xanga.  The show was great last night.  Ben's mom bought me a carnation and my mom and dad and their couple friends bought me a dozen carnations! It was awsome! I brought those carnations back for you Tina.
